Data and Diversity: Intersections and Implications
We live in an increasingly diverse and data-driven society – but how do those terms intersect? How can future arts leaders prepare themselves to measure and evaluate the diversity, equity, and inclusion of their programming, staff, and audiences? In this presentation, SMU DataArts will introduce resources and discuss practical field applications of data-driven approaches to measuring the demographics of audiences and workforces. Session attendees will also discuss strategies employed by arts organizations who are undertaking this work.
