DataArts is proud to present at the AAM Annual Meeting in St. Louis, MO.
Measuring Change: Demographic Data for Equity and Inclusion: As the US population changes, museum boards, funders, and other stakeholders are working to develop diverse workforces and gain insight into their audiences and communities. This session will acquaint participants with new approaches to demographic data collection for understanding who serves in and is served by museums and other cultural institutions. DataArts will share methodologies and findings from recent demographics pilots in Minnesota, Los Angeles County, and Houston. Representatives from the Walker Art Center, which was a workforce demographics pilot organization, will discuss how they are using demographic data internally and collaborating with nine other artsl organizations across the Twin Cities to develop the requisite intercultural competencies and a collective action plan to diversify their community's cultural workforce and programming.
